I went on my annual visit to the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton last night to see Agatha Christie’s Witness for the Prosecution. If I’d read the book, I’d forgotten, so I was really looking forward to a fresh, new story to get my teeth into.
As ever, it was superb. Great cast and acting, and Agatha’s brilliant dialogue made this courtroom based drama a must-see.
At the break, I had an idea, so I thought, who had dunnit. But the end, I was, of course, proved wrong. If ever there was a woman to aspire to that kept you gripped, enthralled and in the dark right to the very end, it has to be Ms Christie.
Well done to the Touring Production and Bill Kenwright … I’ll definitely be back next year!
